Autumn Empties

Monday, 28 November 2016

Its that time again!

My empties box was overflowing so I felt I needed to photograph all the empty bottles so I could recycle them and get them out of my house!

YSL Lipgloss - this is the oldest nastiest lipgloss ever...I think my Grandma gave it to me when I was about 17 so it needs to be binned! I've never even used it as it is not my colour!

Yes To Charcoal Sheet Mask - this tingled my face too much so I didn't enjoy it, but sometimes my skin can be sensitive and I like their other masks.

Beautyblender - I've got two new beauty blenders so this one needed to go to the land in the sky...even though its done me well!

Sephora Pearl Sheet Mask - I loved this mask and have tried quite a few of these Sephora masks.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss conditioner - I love this stuff so much! I'm always sad when I run out

L'Oreal Waterproof Mascara - I am yet to find a waterproof mascara that gives length and volume as well as waterproofness... this is ok but not great.

Colgate Advance White - nothing special and I won't make a conscious effort to repurchase.

Mad About You, Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizer - my favourite hand sanitizer and my favourite smell!

Sephora Mask - My bestie Jess gave me this and I liked that you sleep in it as an overnight mask

Ren Face Mask - I loved this stuff! I could see all the crap coming out of my pores and into the mask...loveeee that

Barry M Gel Topcoat - this went pretty goopy about half way through the bottle but I did like the first half of the bottle.

Benefit Roller Lash - I do really enjoy this mascara, but I haven't repurchased as I have so many new ones I need to get through

Boots Nails, Nail Varnish remover - How can you really review nail varnish remover, it took off my nail varnish sufficiently well!

Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo - I think this was the second bottle I've purchased of this, I like it because its lighter than Batiste and doesn't leave a white cast.

L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist - This is my favourite makeup setting spray that I've tried and I've repurchased

Aussie Miracle Moisture - I basically just buy Aussie stuff for the smells so good!

Nivea Factor 50 - this stuff smells amazing and I love how quickly it soaks into the skin

Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Facewash -  I love this stuff and have repurchased it at least twice.

Skinclear spot cream - Nothing special I wouldn't repurchase!

Exuviance Face Mask - I think I liked was a clay mask and I've never tried a clay mask I haven't liked!

Vaseline Cocoa Spray Moisturiser - I love this stuff, I've probably been through four bottles!

Seche Vite - the best top coat ever, but I always find it goes gloopy about half way through the bottle! I've repurchased though

Soltan Factor 50 Face Suntan lotion - I am a recent convert... from low factor oils to factor 50. I am now officially a factor 50 girl. No wrinkles for me!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - this is a dupe for the NARS concealer and I love it!

Tanya Burr half lashes - honestly awful. These look horrendous, they aren't tapered at all and are just a straight lash thats only a half.

L'Oreal Micellar Gel - this just kind of annoyed me as it got a bit messy, whereas micellar water just soaks into a cotton pad

Camomile Cleansing Balm - love this stuff and am on my third pot!

Mitchell and Peach Body Cream - I didn't even finish this it just went off. I never remember to use mini creams!

Nip and Fab Dry Leg Fix - same with this, I never used it!

Bee Good Moisturiser - I did like this, but I probably wouldn't repurchase, it was nothing special.

Naturalash Glue - this stuff was awesome! The best lash glue I've tried that comes free with lashes

God that was long! I'm such a hoarder of rubbish!

Christmas 2016 Wishlist

Tuesday, 22 November 2016

I've already started to see people preparing their Christmas I thought I'd jump on the wagon and do mine.

If there is a boy out there who fancies me who wants to get me gift*... check out the below

*this is unlikely (not that they fancy me, but that they would want to buy me one of these gifts)

The Advent Calendar

The Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar - photo from the Charlotte Tilbury Website

How amazing does this look. It will set someone back £150 but I'll get 12 Charlotte Tilbury Items and I don't have ANY Charlotte Tilbury items currently.

Plus I love getting an advent calendar as you get a present early and you get to open more than one thing!

(I have already actually received a You Beauty advent calendar from Mummy I'm very happy with that Xmas present!)

The Splurge

Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Backpack - photo from the LV Website

I really want a cool backpack...I just find it so nice not to have a heavy handbag in the crook of my arm and to have my hands free, especially when I travel.

This one is a bit flashy but I think because its the classic monogram its pretty cool. It will set you back £1,350 and I went to Harrods to look at it the other day and they didn't even have if you manage to find this and buy it for me you will get definite brownie points

The Homewear

Genoa Bed Linen Set from The White Company - photo from the White Company website

How beautiful is this bedding! There is something just so lovely about new fresh white bedding, especially from the White Company, and I would never buy it myself! Perfect for a present.

I don't actually think £120 for this King Size set is too unreasonable, bedding lasts a really long time!

Copper 5 Piece Knife set from Trouva - Photo from Trouva website

I have one or two good knives... but I'd really like a knife block with a few more. And maybe a knife sharpener!

They don't need to be really expensive or anything, I know you can spend ALOT of money on knives, but these are only £39.99

The Makeup

Kat Von D Lock It Setting Powder - photo from the Debenhams website

I am so excited that you can now get Kat Von D in the UK! I used to watch her as a tattoo artist on LA Ink and Miami Ink and love her makeup line.

All her products are so full coverage and her concealer is my current favourite.

I'd really like to try this powder as apparently it doesn't flashback. Plus I'm doing my friend's wedding makeup next year and I feel like this would be great to set bridal makeup.

Its £18 from Debenhams

Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer - photo from Cult Beauty

Apparently this lip balm beats all other lip balms and not only smooths your lips but plumps them too. I've heard people rave about it so I'd love to try it. Its £12

The Fashion

Lacey Kurt Geirger Court Shoes - photo from the Kurt Geiger Website.

I have a pair of nude Court shoes from Kurt Geirger that I wear all the time, but I would really like a black pair.

They don't have to be Kurt Geiger they could be New Look for all I care (who do super comfy shoes) but I would like some.

Also I would like to try them on.... so to that boy who is reading this who wants to spoil me...take me to try them on please! They're currently £59 down from £85 so a total bargain... Maybe I'll buy them myself!

Good Waist, Good American Jeans - photo from the Good American website

Corset slimming elasticity and a natural butt lift? Who wouldn't want these jeans! They're made by Khloe Kardashian for curvy women and I really want some...£135 plus shipping is pretty expensive but they're so cool!

The Perfume

Gucci Guilty - photo from Boots website

Whenever I find a signature scent I like...someone else starts wearing it and then whenever I smell my own perfume I think of them! Mummy Haworth has done this numerous times with Gucci Rush 2 and J'Adore Dior.

JessicaAnn has done this with YSL Black Opium

Annie has done this with Bodyshop Indian Night Jasmine

And I now know three people who wear Jo Malone peony and blush suede

So I would like a new signature smell and I loveee this smell. Lets just hope noone steals it!

30ml is £43

Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge - photo from the Selfridges website

I am obsessed with this smell.. OBSESSED, but I don't think anyone would ever buy it for me as its £148 which just seems unreasonable! If anyone knows of any other perfumes that smell like jasmine please let me know

The Candle

Diptique Tubereuse Candle - photo from John

I was bought this candle a few years ago as a Christmas present and it smells AMAZING

Its really expensive for a candle at £42 which is why I would only ever suggest it as a gift rather than buying it myself!

The Skincare

Magnitone Pore Perfection Brush Replacements - photo from

I have a Magnitone and love it...but I haven't used it recently as I definitely need a new brush head - I'm not sure they're very hygienic as they don't have a case or anything.

And at £20 I just haven't got round to buying these

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate - photo from the Space NK websiter

Everyone I know who has tried this raves about it and I really love skincare so would love to try this!

And that concludes my Christmas List... I highly doubt I will get some of these things as I've picked hella pricey items...but a girl can wish!

What do you want for Christmas? Let me know in the comments below :)

Current Favourites - Autumn 2016

Friday, 18 November 2016

I haven't posted a favourites post in a while as I quite like to try products out for a while before I decide whether I love them!

So I've put together my current favourites for you!

These are all products that I absolutely LOVE

In terms of the eyes, I am obsessed with the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. It smells like peaches and has such beautiful warm browns in it! I'm afraid this was limited edition and is sold out so I can't link it!

L'Oreal Telescopic is my favourite mascara of all time. It really separates your lashes, lengthens them and is super black. Plus it's only £10.99

In terms of liquid eyeliner this NYX one is my new favourite. The brush is really thin and its super black and matte. Plus it doesn't smudge over the day like a lot I've tried. At £5.50 its a bargain!

This House of Lashes eyelash glue is the most amazing glue ever. Usually I just use the ones that come free in the Eyelure lashes but this is incredible. Plus it smells like flowers not fish! I got mine off ebay because its hard to find in the UK. If you use this your eyelashes WILL NOT budge...all day and all night!

Moving onto skin I am LOVING this Makeup Revolution Oval Brush. I haven't even used my beauty blender since buying it! You can find my full review here . Its £9.99 from Superdrug

An oldie but a goodie is this Hot Mama Blush from The Balm - its a dupe for NARS Orgasm. I got this from Amazon but you can now buy the Balm in Superdrug! This is £14.99 which is a bit expensive but its amazing and the NARS one is £23

My new favourite concealer is this Kat Von D one which I got in Sephora in Vegas. You can now get Kat Von D in Debenhams which is so exciting! This is really full coverage (like all of Kat Von D's products) and I love it. They have such a large shade range too! Its £20 from Debenhams

My final skin item is this Cushion De Soleil bronzer from L'Oreal. I use this on the perimeter of my fave to warm it up. My only negative is I feel like you don't get much product for £14.99. The Tan De Soleil one from Chanel is much better....but that's £32

In terms of items which aren't makeup I have three. The first is this Lee Stafford Hair Growth Leave In Treatment. I've used about half of this bottle and I use it every time I wash my hair. It helps detangle my hair and has definitely helped it grow. Definitely definitely.

Next is this Pure Clay Glow Mask which I love. These L'Oreal mud masks are so great, this one exfoliates and feels like a real treat when I use.

These face wipes are from Garnier thy're the Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Wipes and I really like them! Usually I never use facewipes, but I've been using these to remove the majority of my makeup before cleansing my face. I really like them and they were so good at removing my Halloween makeup!

The final items are these two eyeshadows from Inglot.

In fact they're actually a pure pigment and a body sparkle and they're beautifulllll

The pure pigment is in the colour 24 and the body sparkles are in colour 68.

They're so beautiful and it makes me very sad I can't wear them to work everyday!

Comment below letting me know one of your current favourites that I should try!

The Beauty Blogger Awards 2016

Monday, 14 November 2016

A few weeks ago my bestie Jess (you can read her blog here) and I went to the Beauty Blogger Awards

This is the outfit I wore

Standard EVH outfit... ripped jeans and my Carli Bybel x Missguided

We headed over to Kensington Olympia early because if you get there early you get a goodie bag!

And we were actually in the first 10 people so were definite keen beans!

At the Beauty Blogger Awards there are a number of brands who show you their new products etc and the first we went to was Pulse Light Clinic

I'm actually really keen to have laser hair removal so I was really interested to hear about what they had to say.

Maybe you'll get a laser hair removal blog soon!

We then headed over to NYX to see their new Liquid Cream Suede Lipsticks

These were the colours that caught my eye for Autumn/Winter, they're so creamy and smooth!

And we of course had a photo in the booth!

We then spoke to a few more brands and went into the Olympia Beauty Show and did some shopping

I thought I'd show you a haul of what I got in my goodie bag!

So many fun things!

I've only tried a few bits so far as I might do a giveaway, but I can say that the Benefit Air Patrol eye primer is really good!

And I'm obsessed with this dermalogica phyto replenish oil!

I've been mixing a few drops into my regular moisturiser and I love it!

One thing I would say is I'm not sure its right to hand out slimming tea to a whole group of young girls...

I think slimming is quite a sensitive subject and I think a lot of young girls especially in the beauty industry can be insecure about their bodies, so they shouldn't be encouraged to think they need slimming tea...

Moving on...

One purchase I made myself was these Inglot Glitters

I got the Pure Pigment in 24 and the Body Sparkles in 68 and I LOVE them

Here is how they look together:

Inglot isn't a brand you see very often in the UK so I'm glad I took this opportunity to pick them up!

I just packed the glitter onto my lid after doing a cut crease and adding lash glue to the mobile eyelid

I'm really pleased with how it came out and will definitely recreate this look!

Halloween 2016

Friday, 11 November 2016

Halloween is one of my favourite times of year...

And Merlin's too!

(That's a lie he did not enjoy his outfit)

I went out a few times this Halloween so I thought I would share with you what I wore and what I did!

The first night out was the Thursday before Halloween

It was a total rush as I'd been to see 1984 at the theatre that evening.

I rushed home and covered my hair in a wig and face in a mask for the speediest change around I've ever done!

The dress I wore was from the Carli Bybel collection with Missguided and I love it!

I got very hot though as its really intricately beaded and heavy!

We went to Tramp and listened to some live music

But headed home earlish and pretty sober as we both had meetings the next day!

Saturday was our big night out and I'd been planning my outfit for a while!

I've wanted to be Red Riding Hood for about three years and I've always wanted to have a boy to be my wolf

Still single... I just went solo!

With Poison Ivy and a Sugar Skull

How cool is Louisa's homemade Poison Ivy outfit!

I also met up with my Vegas girls

And we looked pretty creepy

Way better than those girls who just wear underwear and contact lenses

I created my scratches using liquid latex and scar wax

And overall I loved the effect!

The final outfit I did was for a salsa Halloween night on actual Halloween

This half skull took me about 20 minutes and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

No more scary fancy dress until next year :(
