Its that time of year again! 

Autumn is my favourite time of year, not least because its time to make sloe gin!

I recently decanted my sloe gin that I made this time last year.

Bearing in mind it started out as just clear gin and sloes, check out the colour it is now!

Last year I made a magnum wine bottle full and two regular size gin bottles. I cracked open the gin bottles at my birthday in January and they tasted good...but you can a million percent tell the difference between the ones which had been left for 4 months and the magnum which I left for a full year.

It is SO delicious and sweet and warming!

This year I got the train down to my best friend Katie's house on a Sunday to pick sloes and have a roast!

What Sundays are all about!

We found so many sloes! So we picked as many as we could carry 

Before the sun started to set and we headed back to open a bottle of red and check on the pork

A perfect Sunday with my bestie...

I recommend you go out on a country walk, find some sloes and make some sloe gin of your own! You won't regret it!
