2015 Empties - Would I Repurchase

Friday, 10 July 2015

I really enjoy watching empties videos on Youtube so a couple of months ago I started putting the products I finished into a bag in my beautyroom.

It was starting to overflow, so I figure now is a good time to blog this!

These are some of the bits!...

Lets start with bathroom stuff!

  • The Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser with honey. Its half price in Superdrug at the mo if you are interested. I did really like the ease of using this product, but I must say I just didn't feel (in my head) like I was moisturising - I finished it up, but I wasn't using it every day and don't think I would repurchase. I much prefer the Vaseline Spray Moisturisers which are super fast to use as well and I feel like I'm moisturising with them - if that makes sense!

  • Next is the Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub from Lush. This stuff is quite a rough scrub, so I wouldn't recommend it for your face, but I did enjoy using it on my body as I thought it was really getting off the dead skin. I have quite a few scrubs to use up so won't be repurchasing at the moment but might later down the line.

Next are some face bits...

  • The first is the Philosophy Purity Cleanser which I got in New York on October. They actually now sell it in Boots though.I really like the smell of this and it does make my face feel really clean. But I don't think its the best to take off your makeup. More for washing your face in the morning or after they gym (which is when I use it). I do like it - but I'm in love with my Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter so am sticking with that for my cleanser and will definitely repurchase instead of this Philosophy one.

  • This Garnier Moisture Match moisturiser didn't wow me to be honest - I used it up...but didn't feel like it dramatically improved my skin or anything

More bathroom things!

  • The first is a Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Body Butter. This was a Christmas gift and is a Christmas edition so I can't add the link for it! I really like these mini body butters as they fit in my gym bag, but this was a bit too fragranced for me. I prefer the shea or honey ones. I do want to try the new Mojito one this summer!

  • This Colgate Max White Optic toothpaste is good...but it comes out blue in the tube which I don't like as sometimes it is harder to clean off the sink when you spit it out...I like the white version of this and I would repurchase that one and will.

Some more face bits...
  • The first is the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. This stuff has lasted me a year and a half...that is impressive! Its quite expensive (£21) but I do really love it. Not only does it help your makeup stay on, but it makes powder look less cakey and is refreshing on your skin. I'm afraid though that the L'Oreal Infalliable one I got in Vegas is about a third of the price and seems to work just as well! Sorry Urban Decay I won't repurchase.

  • Next is the Bio Effect EGF Serum - this stuff makes my skin feel amazing - but 15ml is £125...so I'm just not sure its worth it!

  • The L'Oreal Skin Perfection Serum didn't really match up to the Bio Effect Serum so it disappointed me a bit....but it was a 10th of the price! I won't repurchase but thats not because I didn't like it...I just like other things more

  • I love this Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser - I would really recommend it, especially for those with sensitive skin. But again, I like my Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter so much more! Sorry Liz Earle :(

Next some hand stuffff

  • I freaking love these Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizers - I have them in every handbag and on my desk at work and they smelllll soooo goooddd. I have already repurchased and will continue to! My favourite smell is Mad About You

Onto some haircare...

  • Batiste Dry Shampoo in Dark & Deep Brown. I really like Batiste it is pretty cheap and does the job - however when you massage this dark one into your roots your hands literally go brown...I'm not sure I like that as what if you're wearing a white top...would it transfer? Who knows! Either way I'm going to stick to colourless ones...although the Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo in Dark Tones has great reviews...even though you can only get it in the States

Finally we have the candles I've gone through in the last couple of months.

I always have a candle on my bedside table so I can light it before bed and enjoy the nice smell when I get into bed before I go to sleep...

  • This White Company Peony one was a housewarming present - and I love it :) I'd probably like to get it as a gift rather than repurchase myself as candles can get expensiveee

  • This Bath and Body Works Mahogany Teak Wood candle is my all time fave. It smells like sexy man aftershave and I have repurchased many times. In fact I've gone through two of these in the past few months.

  • This candle was from Primark...and had a surprisingly strong fragrance for such a cheap candle...would repurchase but not for my special bedside table one. Maybe for the living room.

God I feel like I've been typing forever!

Those are all my empties from the last couple of months!

I hope you enjoyed
