Get Ready With Me: Glowy Flawless Skin and Simple Eyes

Friday, 1 May 2015

I haven't done a proper makeup blog since February! And they are my favouriteeee ones to do!

I've got some new products which I love and I'm really liking how my makeup looks at the moment.

On Friday my friend Francesca and I headed out to Northcote Records in Clapham with about 40 of her friends to celebrate her birthday!

I started out with a bare face...

I then used my Garnier Moisture Match Hydrating Moisturiser and when that had sunk in my L'Oreal Infallible Primer

In terms of the Garnier Moisturiser I like it, but it isn't mind blowing...its just moisturiser! I do like that they have five different types though for different skin types.

The L'Oreal Primer reminds me of the Smashbox Photo Finish one, its a similar consistency but is £8 for 35ml rather than £25 for 30ml.
I really like it, I'm never sure whether primers work or not...but I use one everyday regardless...because what if they do and they I don't use it one day and my makeup doesn't last!? Disasterrr

As you can see from my bare face I've got a bit of redness on my cheeks so I like to cover that up, but I don't have any crazy breakouts, so my foundation routine is more about getting a flawless airbrushed look than covering up.

I am obsessed with the L'Oreal Infalliable 24 hour matte foundation. The colour sand is perfect for me, but when I'm fake tanned I add in a little of my Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream in medium/dark to match it perfectly

I love mixing foundations to get the perfect match to my neck...

I think the below is a pretttyyy close match

This foundation is a matte finish, which is great for a night out as if you're spending the night dancing and you have a dewy foundation can end up veryyy shiny!

I applied it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Next stop...concealer

I really like this L'Oreal True Match one. It has a yellowy undertone so is perfect for highlighting under your eyes.

I also put it down my nose and on my chin and I blend all of this concealer out with a beauty blender

My review of the 24H Matte Foundation and the True Match concealer are below:

Time for some cream contouring...

I use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to blend the Soleil Tan De Chanel under my cheekbones and around the edges of my face.

My full how to contour routine is here if you want more detail:

I really love this product. I bought it quite a while ago and kind of forgot about it...but it is one of my favessss of the moment right now!

My Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit needs no introduction..its my absoulte faveeee thing!

I use the yellow powder to set my concealer and the middle fawn shade to set my Chanel contour

I've been trying out my new Nikon SLR which my Dad gave me...but this close it makes my makeup look a bit cakeface...

So lets throw in an iphone selfie!

One of my favourite bits...highlighter

Just look at ittttt - so prettttyyy

This is HeatWave by Estee Lauder which I'm afraid was limited edition :(

I then added a bit of the shade Naked from the Naked Palette to my crease

Added Volume Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara from L'Oreal on my bottom lashes (on the top I have lash extensions and then moved onto my brows...

Dipbrow pomade by Anastasia Beverly Hills in Dark Brown with the L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper pictured above...

And we are doneeee

Just look at that is BEAUT!

For my hair I used tongs to make the curls, left them clipped up and the brushed it out - if you want a blog tutorial comment below and tell me...

I had such a fun night! Even met a few boysss...oh heyyyy

  1. I hope I don't sound rude or anything, because I surely don't want to, but I actually prefer your face without make up. Your skin looks so smooth, you shouldn't have to put on that much ♥♥♥ You did look great afterwards and it's good you had a fun night. It's just my personal preference ♥

    1. Thank you - I love makeup but know that I am quite lucky to have good skin without! X

  2. This looks super pretty and I love the garnier moisture match xx
